Apple Kugel from Rose Radom.
INGREDIENTS:
- 5 cups flour
- 5 Tablespoons vegetable oil, shortening or butter
- 1 Tablespoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 12 apples, medium, sliced
- 2 cups sugar
- Combine flour, shortening/oil/chicken fat, salt and just enough water to mix to dough.
- Divide dough in half.
- Roll dough out in a greased jelly roll pan.
- Spread 6 sliced apples and sprinkle 1 cup of sugar over each half of the dough.
- Spread 1 Tablespoon of butter on top of each kugel.
- Bake for one hour at 350 degrees.
Serve warm or cold.
